I noticed large white arches positioned after Customs at both the Eurostar and London Airport terminuses recently.

I hadn’t noticed them before, but then probably wasn’t looking very hard.

Are these to check for radiation, to stop the import of a dirty bomb?

    Can anyone confirm this?

Given recent events in Japan, I would be especially interested if BT might look into this, as it could become very relevant indeed.

Hi – we have emailed the Eurostar PR team to see if we can get some clarification on this, and will post any response here.

    Thanks for taking this up.

I think it might be a UK Border matter, more than the train operating company as it seems to be the same “white arches” at both the Eurostar and UK Airport terminals.

however being china they are hardly ever turned on and the staff probably dont even knwo why they are there
