Qatar Airways buys 10 per cent of LATAM

Bloomberg sees this as evidence of the Gulf carrier continuing to build a network of international partners.

Interesting that this is the approach Etihad has taken for several years and is further advanced with (though Qatar is part of an alliance, of course)

I can’t find the reference now but I’m sure I read yesterday that there has been another small increase in the QR holding of IAG.

IMO the Etihad model is working well and having tried it now several times I can’t believe the turn around in Alitalia which from near the bottom I would now put in Europe’s top five for short haul – never tried their long haul but now wouldn’t hesitate. (TK, A3, LH, AZ, LX)
