This was the fully refurbished Business Class which replaces the old First and Business Cabin.

First impressions were very good. The seat is similar to that fitted to the A319 all Business but with a lesser seat pitch presumably to accommodate the excellent touch screen. The seat area is trimmed with dark 'wood' and looks rather nice.

Everything works but the ergonomics leave something to be desired. Storage for small items is poor, mostly behind ones head which is awkward indeed. The socket for the headphones is similarly difficult to reach. Personal space is just adequate.

Elevating the leg support leaves ones ankles and feet suspended in mid-air but fully flat to sleep is fine except exiting the window seat if the adjacent seat is occupied is not easy.

Service was up to Qatar's usual high standard and the A-La Carte dining much to my liking although the choice was somewhat limited. Punctuality was bang on.

An improvement on the old cabin but just good rather than great.

Did you notice a crew member with ‘Procrustes’ on his name badge and a saw ;-)?
