Qantas has announced that it will ground 100 aircraft for at least a year including most of its international fleet with over 200 pilot jobs to go. Its shares have been placed on a trading halt by the ASX pending a further announcement on the 29th.

At first pass the measures seem to me to be rather extreme but one must assume that they know their business better than do I.

cwoodward this is on the basis that they are not allowing any non Australian people into the country for the rest of 2020! If you are Australian you can go but may have to quarantine and this weekend with a spike of 50-60 people in Victoria alone this will only redouble their efforts to restrict any tourism into the country!
