The map to check availability for reward flights. It’s FUBAR’d again.
Trying to get to Quito, Ecuador, next year. Does anyone know how to redeem BA Avios on Iberia flights?1st August 2014 at 20:55 #571512
Hello TOH, availability to Quito ought to show up on BA’s website. Never bother with map myself.2nd August 2014 at 07:08 #571513
Like Alexpo I don’t use the map if I already know where I want to go. I just did a couple of searches for flights to Quito using Avios. Not a lot of availability but there were some flights via Madrid on Iberia, and once via Miami on American2nd August 2014 at 13:35 #571514
Sign into the avios site, it is all working on there.
Failing that use American to search availability.2nd August 2014 at 16:07 #571515

If you transfer your avios from BA to an avios account, you can then book it all through that, then phone BA to put it up on your EC account for all your status benefits to apply.2nd August 2014 at 22:26 #571517

Buggrit. I’ve just discovered I’ve got over 57,000 Avios there that I didn’t know I had.
OK, can I use my BA Avios with Iberia, and if so, how?2nd August 2014 at 23:46 #571518
Go to Avios.com and on there you can move your Avios between BA, IB and Avios, in any direction. Easys!2nd August 2014 at 23:47 #571519

Except it tells me I can’t. Must be some acount issue. I’ve emailed them to ask how to sort it.3rd August 2014 at 13:52 #571521
Household accounts sometimes stop you.3rd August 2014 at 13:53 #571522
That’s going to be it. Personal account on Avios: household account on BA. Any way around it?3rd August 2014 at 13:56 #571523
Interesting, as I was expecting you to say the opposite, as I have a personal Avios and a household BA that works OK.
Have you an Iberian to act as intermediary?3rd August 2014 at 13:57 #571524
No. I think the household BA one is in my wife’s name, though. I’ve had problems with this before.
