This is bad news for Priority Pass members in some parts of the world, especially SE Asia, where Plaza Premium is one of the major lounge operators.

It also reduces the value of some credit cards like Amex Platinum because Priority Pass is one of the major benefits of such cards.

Actually, holders of AMEX Platinum will continue to have access to Plaza Premium lounges through the Amex Lounge Collection, so I would say actually this move adds value to the platinum card.

I’ve just noticed that too. It certainly used to be that you needed Priority Pass (which came with Amex Platinum) to get into most lounges except Centurion and some airline lounges. It now seems that you can use the Amex card directly at most (all?) Plaza Premium lounges. So the Priority Pass “middle man” has now been made redundant.
