in 2008, as part of my law degree I did a 2 month course in Shanghai, staying within the university compound with other western students.
The choice of F&B outlets was amazing from 3 michelin star to KFC, which was on every street corner (no exaggeration). My crowd consisted of 3 Aussies (inc me), 2 Swiss, 2 Americans, 1 French, 1 Brit and Singaporian. Given the size of the group and our ethnic mix, often we’d head to Pizza Hut for a greasy dinner preceeded and followed by several pints of Tsingtao beer.
Pizza Hut was fun, reminded me of my childhood in Sydney and a nice break from the Asian cuisine we’d eat mostly.
