The flight was almost 65 per cent full with the vast majority travelling economy.

I boarded about 15 minutes before scheduled departure. The aircraft was ex Iberia and had refurbished, older style business class seats while the economy seats had also had some recent attention.

There was no AVOD but I listened to a radio program. the seats are thicker and hence more comfortable than on QF to MNL.

The beef meal was pleasant as was the usual ham and cheese warmed roll served an hour or so before arrival. Flight attendants were happy to serve extra drinks, including San Miguel beer. Toilets were clean and there were no problems with bad behaviour from any passengers.

We arrived about 20 minutes late in Manila due to many planes wanting to land. There weren’t any queues at immigration and I got my baggage within 20 minutes of landing, which was fine.
