According to ba.com, commencing with BA 155 LHR-CAI on Saturday 26 March 2010 and BA154 CAI-LHR on Sunday 27 March 2010 BA flights will transfer from CAI T2 to T1.

Presumably this is to facilitate the long overdue renovation of CAI T2.

T1 is newly renovated and a much more modern facility than T2.

The most dreadful non-BA affiliate lounge is used there, charitably referred to as the Pharoah’s Bathroom/uncharitably referred to as a “toilet” will be no more. It quirkiness will be missed, but not by many!

When I passed through the CAI F lounge last year, the lounge attendants were glued to the TV screen; my colleagues and I tuned in only to realise the screens were showing the disaster movie “Alive!” about an aeroplane crash in the Andes, where the passengers ended up eating each other to survive.

The most inappropriate context for such a screening!

You really couldn’t make it up!
