Chinese authorities have identified a cluster of novel coronavirus 2019-nCoV infection in Wuhan City, China.
The patients showed symptoms such as fever, dyspnoea, and were diagnosed as viral pneumonia.
China’s National Health Commission on Monday, Jan 20, confirmed for the first time that the infection could be transmitted from human-to-human.

    Recommendations:

Avoid animals, animal markets, and products that come from animals (such as uncooked meat).

Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.

    Seven died in Wuhan overnight.
The virus is very similar to SARS and like SARS seems to have jumped from animals to humans via an unhygienic market

Government authorities have now ‘closed’ the city including the airport.
No traffic or people movement in or out of Wuhan.
