Concorde is usually on display at the excellent Intrepid Air & Space Museum in Manhattan.

While the Hudson side Pier is shut for refurbishment, Concorde is temporarily stored and open to the public in Brooklyn, where she is rather unloved.

Birds have pooped in the rear wheel bay, and kids have been seen bouncing hard rubber balls off her fragile aluminium alloy skin, among other stories of casual vandaliam and woeful neglect.

A shocking photo; the nose has been ripped off……

If this isn’t evidence of a lack of due care, and enough for BA to donate her to an institution which will honour her heritage, then I don’t know what is.
