Readers planning to fly with Eurowings in the coming week should note that there is a risk of industrial action by cabin staff on short-haul routes.

Eurowings is a budget subsidiary of Lufthansa and, in the case of its UK network, operates to destinations in Germany other than Frankfurt or Munich.

According to Reuters, a meeting will be held on Sunday October 30 between management and the UFO union in a bid to avoid further labour strikes next week.

The dispute over pay and working conditions has lasted for some time. There was a Eurowings cain staff strike yesterday which led to the grounding on 100s of flights.
