Lufthansa AGP to MUC – 3hr flight – definitely not up to the usual Lufthansa standard. The wine was mediocre, as was the cognac. It seems that since Lufthansa sold off Its own catering LSG the standards have dropped significantly.

The lounges in MUC are also not what they used to be with a much reduced selection. This morning the lounge had to close due to a lack of catering. Again. A cheap third party caterer seems to be the issue. Bad working conditions and no longer the perks of working for an airline.

I hear via other forums that this is a major issue, any views? Crews are embarrassed and want passengers to complain.

The race to the ground is real!!

Same situation FAO > FRA return 2 weeks ago, also 3 hour flights.

Outbound, mid afternoon, some thin sliced frankfurter on sauerkraut, and a chocolate mess. Return, at lunchtime, identical offering. Choice of wines was red, white or sekt. Had to ask for refills as none offered.

In December and January BA LHR > FAO choice of 3 meals (2 hot) on both flights, and choice of wine. Frequent refills without asking. Yesterday afternoon TAP BCN>LIS afternoon flight cheese and meat platter plus fruit plate and also cake.

I suspect that LH will soon overtake BA in the “race”

2 1/2 hours flight earlier this week at dinner time. The flight was 45 minutes late, so thankfully, we could eat a bit in the lounge (not a Lufty one). Onboard was served a plate with very little food scattered in the plate from some sort of German catering company, and a kind of chocolate desert. Edible, but nothing more. And certainly not enough to feed a passenger!
