FDOS_UKParticipantdiscovery of a World War Two ordnance
Why does the discovery of an old gun close an airport?
Or is it that our modern CEOs are ungrammatical.
As ‘ordnance’ is singular (plural ordnances), The Mayor of London apparently could do with brushing up on the use of the definite article.
I shall start a thread with a more accurate title!

CheeryguyParticipantWoke this morning to see numerous messages from BA re LCY being closed and my flight cancelled . I was already rebooked with a link to the reroute. Quick call to Gold Line and re routed again at my request. Now arriving at LHR my preferred arrival point. Seemless and quick, excellent service and a positive from a negative.

Tom OtleyKeymasterGood customer service, I guess.
Rather than adding this to the new story, I’ll post in a few updates we’ve had from airlines

In case of disruptions, Luxair will operate its flights to and from London Southend airport instead of London City. Speedbird1994ParticipantWas due to travel with British Airways from LCY-AMS, automatically rebooked from LHR instead. Interesting though that this meant the complimentary catering that was included in the LCY ticket price, was suddenly not included on the new flight from LHR…
