LNER will cancel some ECML trains on July 18 and 19.

    LNER’s MD David Horne has just tweeted this information which is self-explanatory.

    Having followed the rail industry for a very long time this decision is unpredented.

    It is unclear what the two ‘open access’ operators, Hull Trains and Grand Central, will be doing.

    Readers ought to note that LNER says it will have an amended timetable tomorrow (Monday) with trains limited to 60 mph.

    I suggest anyone planning to travel on these days check with the train operator for the latest information.
