Genoa’s Cristoforo Colombo airport has decided to waive the 100ml maximum limit on liquids in hand luggage… as long as the liquid is pesto.

So we can expect France to waive it if it’s wine, Germany if it’s Schnapps, Norway for Aquavit, Greece for Retsina (yuck!) ….. and just have a free for all. As long as we keep our toothpaste in a plastic packet it’s fine.

Does a litre bottle of water with a basil leaf in it count as pesto?! ?
