Hi all

We stay at the Heathrow Sofitel a few times annually when we have an early T5 departure. We’ve always been able to select a room with Club Lounge access, but looking at the website and Accor app today it only seems to be an option when booking an (expensive) suite. Is this a policy change? I’d be grateful to hear if anyone has stayed recently or has tried booking a room with lounge access included.

Good morning Jmur. The Club Rooms can be booked from a deluxe double upwards so not just suites. However having stayed at the T5 Sofitel several times in 2023 the cost can be High and looking at forward possible bookings the cost each night is exorbitant. Therefore it is the Hilton T4 or T5 for me with Executive Lounge access and on average going forward a saving of around £140.00-£170.00 per night. Alas probably down to a high occupancy rate but too costly for me.

I too tried to book a Club room at the Sofitel recently with the same result. I even rang Accorr Central reservatione to ask the question. Same answer – very expensive suites only so like Jmur having used the place many times am puzzled as to why. Makes no sense – is this a web site error?
Like David, I have transfered to the Hilton T4 which again I have used many times and is a lot cheaper. The transfer is quite simple on the tube. The lounge is under re-furbishment till 11 Sept.

I love the Terminal 5 Sofitel and its location and breakfasts, and often used to stay there. But in recent years I have stayed elsewhere at Heathrow when I have to pay with my own money. To me the upper level options are pricey and there are now enough hotels in walking distance from the terminals which suit me well.
