Interesting article in The Sunday Times regarding the disposal of BMI one way or another?

Well given that LH were forced to keep to the basic Terms of the 10 year agreement with Sir Mick B (more on his terms than theirs!) and they have ongoing problems with OS and SAS they might want to ditch BMi to Virgin…..but what about those lucrative landing slots at Heathrow…..and there possibly lies the conundrum for the LH board?

Recent roundup: LH wants to get hold of SAS 20% share on BMI and be the sole holder of the company. Well, LH can decide on its own in how BMI can be “strategic healthy” again.
Will VS be overcoming their animosity to work with/share with LH in order to control BMI. Is BA out of the competition, such as fighting in numerous battles( like the JL package bid with AA and QF) could weaken someone`s strength extensively? Or is the laughing third anonymous party from the Middle East is the winner after all this rattling?

Guess the merry go round continues……..makes you wonder what LH will do to offload ‘troublesome partners’ etc

    Nice report!!
Now BA is in a dilemma? Which one is more important to pursue for W. Walsch — either buy those 12% slots or help AA with the bid for JL. Yet again reconsidering BA’s very weak financial status at the moment. The temptation is so big to get both isn’t? But what happens if you get so greedy……….??
