Yes there are numerous fifth-freedom links within Asia as well as the KLM ones mentioned between KUL/SIN and CGK/DPS.
As Business Traveller has noted in the past these flights are usually available at a good discount on the normal fares which are charged.
Having a fresh crew for these short sectors must surely mean KLM would be able to provide fine service.
