I’ve just been booking my latest slew of trips to take advantage of BA Premium Cabin sale, and noticed a Skype video chat and IM pop-up.

Not very keen on these, but it’s obviously another innovation.

has anyone ever used this functionality when booking air tickets?

I would warn against using Skype for any financial transaction. Perfect for keeping in touch but not for anything confidential.

I don’t believe you can use this Skype service for financial transactions – it’s more about helping you to book and answering questions.

Seems an innovative idea, though I fear having to look presentable when booking at odd hours might be bridge too far for me….
