AMcWhirterParticipantMy first impression when I saw this Emirates ad on Twitter last week was that it had been faked.
Reconnect with your loved ones or take a fabulous vacation.
From 8th August travel to the UK gets easier.#FlyEmiratesFlyBetter pic.twitter.com/pEB2qH6Vyo— Emirates Airline (@emirates) August 5, 2021
But today the airline announced it was not a stunt.
Emirates says a cabin crew member in full uniform was 828 metres above the ground standing at the pinnacle of the Burj Khalifa.
However Khaleejtimes.com reports it was in fact “Nicole Smith-Ludvik, a professional skydiving instructor.”
Details of how the ad was filmed can be found below. There is also an embedded video showing the preparation.

AMcWhirterParticipantEmirates has recreated the ad featuring skydiver Nicole Smith-Ludvik.
This time it’s promoting Expo 2020.
Like last time perhaps another tweet will explain how this one was filmed.
The world’s greatest show brings friends together on top of the world’s tallest building. Enjoy a free @Expo2020Dubai day pass with every ticket. Fly Emirates, Fly Better.
