Expect it to make the headlines on evening news today.

It looks like something an African despot would fly around in. Not at all becoming to the UK.

Oh dear, I wasn’t expecting it to look quite so brash.

It wouldn’t look quite so cheap without the gold lettering.

That reminds me of that lovely quote from Dolly Parton, who said :
“You know it costs an awful lot of money to look as cheap and trashy as I do.”
    Wonderful lady.

The gold is tasteless and brash in the extreme. A subtle Union Flag on the vertical stabiliser is all it needs.

She was also famously once asked how long it took do her hair in the morning. Her reply? “I don’t know, I’m never there”

I saw what I thought was the nearly-completed new livery of the tailfin the other day. Turns out is was just an old photo of a TWA Boeing.

I like it, no different from the old days when Pms used to use BA charter flights with the union flag on the tail

An Australian colleague just mentioned “Looks as flash as a rat with a gold tooth”
I don’t believe that he was being exactly complementary for as we are all aware Australians are well known for their refined taste in all things.

Good to see the UK join the likes of France and the US in having an official aircraft flying the flag.

As for £900k, a relative drop in the ocean compared to some public sector spending. (Mayor of London’s staff costs increased by £10m in the last year alone).
