I may have the odd jokey word with US border control, but the TSA are probably the people with the least amount of personality and humour I have ever met. The only tip I could give a TSA employee is to learn how to smile!

Chinaman, you have a point. I normally give my Euros and RMB’s etc (currencies I use infrequently ) when they bring the bag down the plane (amazing how little interest they seem to get in First Class). I kept the Drachmas as a souvenir and they just came to mind. Suitably chastened, in deference to your admirable “kokua” I will dig them out and put them in the bag when I go back on Friday.
