This is a potentially excellent deal, especially for Starwood Preferred Guest members who already enjoy a 5,000 Starpoints bonus when transferring 20,000 Starpoints out to airline programmes such as BA’s.

Do remember that, in practice, there can be a delay of up to 48hrs in purchased points posting to SPG accounts, and 7-10 days before points transferred from Starwood reach British Airways.
