    Just back from Phoenix where I rented a car for a month via, the provider was Budget.

    Booked a Full Size car, Ford Fusion or similar according to the confirmation/voucher from, on checking out the car at the Budget counter they claimed I had paid for a 2 door car and had to pay and upgrade fee of total 278 USD to get me into the car I had reserved…I argued but gave up and paid the extra charge as I did not want to be in any smaller car.

    On handing back the car I complained to and was first turned down but 2 emails later and a weeks further wait I got a confirmation from that Budget apologised for the confusion and I would have my 278 USD refunded and on top of that offer me discount on my next rental though them within the next 12 months

    Feels good to know there are still good customer service out there.
