Does anyone know of an airfare from Geneva to Dusseldorf either late afternoon 11 May or early morning 12 May for less than £200 (single only)

    Many thanks

    Martyn

ps – why are European routes out of Swiss so expensive ??

    Wed 12 May 2010

10:20 GVA Geneva via LHR BA725

    Connect in airport 2h 25

    13:25 LHR TO DUS BA940

    Price is 123 euros,

Also BA fare 07:45-15:50GVA-DUS via LHR at 11 May 110 euros.

You can find more flights at http://www.skyscanner.net

    Direct flights from 850euros? LOLOLOL

Buy a return ticket from Swiss. You can get GVA to DUS via Zurich for about 320CHF (£195) for that date if the return date is week or two later, later being cheaper if you are not going to use it.
A one way is showing as 1,000CHF. Ridiculous. Although Swiss have set up their Tix sales as one-way segments, their pricing is radically different if you tick the one-way box.

    Tue 11 May 2010

    Lufthansa LH3707
    20:20 GVA Geneva
    21:40 DUS Dusseldorf International

    1h 20
    Thu 13 May 2010

    Swiss LX3693
    06:50 DUS Dusseldorf International
    08:10 GVA Geneva
    1h 20

But if you search for 12 of May you will find something around 500+ euros.

I can’t see why they are using this booking system

The BA option sounds by far the best, daft as it is in terms of carbon footprint etc. Swiss railways want SF402 for 1st class, leaving at 14:14 and arriving 21:31. Economy is about half of this.
