    New Caledonia uses the CPF Franc (quite what CPF stands for is unclear, I have seen sites saying “Comptoirs Français du Pacifique Franc”, “Communauté Financière du Pacifique” and “Change Franc Pacifique”). It is tied to the euro, and used also in French Polynesia and “Wallis and Futuna” (a territory of which I have hitherto never heard). Apparently Aussie and Kiwi dollars are widely accepted.

    Oh, and I got 7 on the quiz – although some were lucky guesses!
