So here’s the definitive list ……
Sgvancouver managed the to get the 9th place.
And LP it was your SIA pick !!

    1. Predictably British Airways New York JFK to London Heathrow: $1.04 billion
    2. A bit of a surprise at 2 is Qantas Airways Melbourne to Sydney, $855 million
    3. Emirates London Heathrow to Dubai, $819 million
    4. Singapore Airlines London Heathrow to Singapore, $710 million
    5. American Airlines Los Angeles LAX to New York JFK, $698 million
    6. United Airlines San Francisco to Newark, $688 million
    7. Cathay Pacific Airways Hong Kong to London Heathrow, $632 million
    8. Qatar Airways London Heathrow to Doha, $553 million
    9. Also a wee bit of a surprise is Air Canada Vancouver to Toronto Pearson, $552 million
    10. Singapore Airlines Sydney to Singapore, $544 million

No surprise that LHR appears 5 times in the top 10.

    Well done.

Somewhat surprised, though, not to see the KL Shuttle (SIN-KUL) on the list. Was once considered to be an extremely busy sector.

Busy does not always equate to profitable.

Understood but thought you said it was based on revenues?

I will have a stab, and I would have already said BA— LHR/JFK as I think I read somewhere some time ago, that was an extremely profitable route for them.
But would like to suggest DOH-CAN with QR. I have flown on this dozens of times and its always full.
It used to be A B773 and it was always full both back and front.
Not so sure these days with the A380, as I cannot (by virtue of my location), use their flights anymore.

Given the frequency and the prices I’m going to guess CX HKG-LHR

I have another route in mind but I’m going to hold my fire, see if I’m right, and if I am I will stick with a 100% success rate!

Of course if I’m wrong I will try to get 0% up to 50%!

    EDITED TO ADD

Yay, I was right! And I hasten to add I was looking at an old version of the page without the answers when i replied!

Hi, new to the site so first posting, as I live in Asia I would assume some of these business/tourist routes:

    HK- SYD(CX)
    GMP- CJU(KE/OZ)
PUS – CJU(OZ) – i know “conshaldow” mentioned KE but it maybe OZ
    HK – PVG(ka)
    HK-TPE(cx)
    SYD-MEL(QF)
    SIN-KL(sq/mh)
    NY – LAX(AA)
    HND – CTS(jal)

many of these routes i have taken and are continuiously full regardless of the season

Well if anyone wondered why there is not a fast train between syd and mel QF’s $855 mil ( plus jetstar tiger and virgin) is a powerful example of lobbyists influencing government.
