AMcWhirterParticipantPlease be aware that French ATC staff are calling for a five day strike which would start on January.
Should the strike go ahead it might impact on flights heading to or from France. I might also affect those flights using French airspace.
There could also be a “solidarity strike” for one hour by German ATC staff on January 29.

DavidGordon10ParticipantDoes anyone have any reliable and recent news on this? I am chairing a committee meeting in Berlin on Friday and Saturday (31 January and 1 February) and I need to understand how many of my committee will be able to get there. There were murmurings of trouble in Portugal too, is that true?

BigDog.ParticipantBA, easyJet, and Ryanair are expected to be affected.
It appears a staggered action is being coordinated to also include Italy and Portugal at varying times to increase inconvenience.
….In a statement easyJet said the Italian Air Traffic Control personnel are on strike from 1pm local time until 5pm local time, while the Portuguese controllers are on strike between 7am to 9am local time and 2pm to 4pm local time….

LuganoPirateParticipantThanks Alex, though our friend flew down AF turns out she goes back direct with KLM. So far no delays announced.
I follow @Eurocontrol but I’ll set it so I receive the tweet notifications.
