Well, I am not surprised to see that Miles & More did not make the list along with Hilton Honor. Both programmes have massively diluted their own value over the past year. In the past, both were frequent winners.

My surprise is Air France/KLM Flying Blue, didn’t see this one coming at all.

Regarding AF/KLM, there were no change lately. This might have helped.

Interesting to see Le Club Accorhotels winning since they have that different approach to offer cheques instead of points. So more transparency on redemptions and more freedom…

Can anyone explain the methodology of voting for these awards? In the preceding months before voting closed the Miles & More newsletter
exhorted its readers to vote. The demography of the voters appears to be determined by region. In my case this was Asia. It was my intention to vote but I found that neither Swiss or Lufthansa were included in the Asia region. Both airlines service the region and I am baffled by their omission. Can anyone enlighten me as to why this should be the case?

I think it is the program’s base that counts. So one can for instance vote for M&M only in Europe.
