    Can anyone explain the rules regarding upgrades with AF/KLM?

    I recently arrived in CDG after an uncomfortable overnight flight and decided to upgrade my next sector to ICN to First.

    I had an expensive J class full fare, full flex ticket but was amazed to be told that a one way upgrade would be 120,000 miles.

    Previously I have been charged as little as 40,000.

    I asked the ticket agent to explain the reason but just got the usual Gallic shrug.
