    The Data Protection Act would not apply to the BASSA updates because it does not constitute personal data.

    I don’t think the clause quoted above is enforceable (I doubt copyright could be claimed) and the fact that the BASSA site is password protected is not relevant. If something is posted online, it is public.

    It would be wise for BASSA to draft all comms on the assumption that they are public. Sensitive issues are best discussed privately in person, though I appreciate that’s difficult for such a large mobile membership.

    Well compared to earlier bassa comms these ones are sweet as sugar. I doubt very much that bassa would be too worried about it getting into the public domain.

    I think we should all take RichHi1’s advice 😉

    Things have moved on.
