If you are ever flying from Mwanza to Dar Es Salaam, Fastjet are now permitting buckets of “fresh” fish up to 23 kgs to be carried on their flights….as baggage. That is real marketing…come on BA!

Well spotted Openfly, makes the mind boggle. However…

By fresh, do they mean freshly caught, or fresh frozen? And can you take on board 23kgs of curried Samaki? We should be told 😉

What I love about this , is simply the attention to detail, getting to know your target audience and more importantly personalizing a product/service to match their needs. ….

    Folks,

To put this in geographical context. Mwanza is on Lake Victoria and the famous Talapia (thats a fish) is a sweet water fish that is very popular. Dar is based on the coast and only has sea water fish. Hence people travelling from Mwanza to Dar regularly bring fish with them. It can be prepared for you whole or fillet and is packed in dry ice for the trip.

Very good for breaded fish fillets.

    Happy eating.
