As we revealed previously, although Eurostar’s London-Amsterdam service operates direct, the return journey involves a train change (Thalys to Eurostar) at Brussels Midi for immigration clearance.

Eurostar confirms April 4 launch of Amsterdam service

That arrangement was expected to end next year.

But the politicians cannot agree on border control. it’s now reported in Benelux that the train change could last in 2020.

As OV Magazine says “Amsterdam-London feeds for bureaucracy.” [Dutch language]

    Amsterdam-Londen voer voor bureaucraten

Tried for a Booking from the Smoke to the Dam in November and response…”we have no services on said dates”..?…Eh…

Managed later to screw them down to a possibility of leaving on an afternoon but expected to spend the night …assume sleeping on platform 9 at Brussels Midi …and eventually getting to Amsterdam some hours later..the following day…

    Je ne sais Pas…pour qui…?…eh…again…
