There is a press conference taking place in Brussels this morning, from which we will be reporting.

The new branding of the group has been revealed

Personally I don’t believe the new Eurostar is an improvement.

In a way, as a European, I can see the connection with train Etoile do Nord (excuse my circumflex omission) but Eurostar is a global train brand and carries many different nationalities.

How many of the latter will realise the significance ?

For the uninitiated it’ll be more of an Easter egg than an echo of Étoile du Nord (which admittedly I’d not heard of until today), but I do like how the spark forms an ‘e’ for Eurostar. Some passengers will notice, some won’t…

Hannah has just posted the BTUK report.

Some have expressed surprise that the liveries of Eurostar and Thalys are kept separate.

Only the new Eurostar brand name is being posted on both.
