Eurostar reduces timetable from today (Feb 18)

    For what it calls “operational reasons” Eurostar is cancelling two or three trains between now and February 24.

    London to Paris/Brussels are the two affected routes.

    Eurostar continues to say “for operational reasons” …

    But these cancellations are now extended through to March 2.

    Eurostar has now extended the cancellations through to March 12.

    More details can be found on the piece we posted two days ago.

    The reader comment at the very end of the piece throws some light on developments.

    Certainly it is true that the atmosphere inside the Tunnel is humid and warmer than outside.

    Could this be the reason why extra maintenece is needed ?
