Readers planning to use Eurostar on the above dates and times must bear in mind that National Rail has just announced engineering works at St Pancras.

It means trains arriving/departing between 21.45 on Saturday June 30 and 09.00 on Sunday July 1 will not be able to use St Pancras.

Some trains are being retimed while, on June 30, the through train from Marseille will terminate at Ashford with passengers taken by bus to London (or they can take alternative rail services).

Nicely timed to coincide with this weekend’s French ATC strike, which has not made the news, because it isn’t news.

There is some news after all about this weekend’s French ATC strike.

It was called off, but too late for cancelled flights to be reinstated in most cases. How very kind of them.
