    It must be my year for getting poor service from car hire companies!

    For the last two possibly three years I have, along with a colleague been hiring from Europcar Jersey four times a year. Always booking on line. In August I booked a car online and paid for it on line to take advantage of the lower rate.

    At the desk we needed to have the additional driver added and pay for the fuel. On producing my American Express card I was abrubtly told they were not accepted, even though I had paid on line by Amex and that I had paid before over the last two to three years by Amex. The staff were most rude and spoke to us as though we should know.

    On returning home I emailed Europcar and got a reply three weeks later asking for the invoice and rental agreement numbers, all provided before. Yet a further month on still no reply, obviously customer care is not top priority
