    Flight from BKK – ADD.

Had to check-in in terminal due to a connecting flight. Counter opens 3 hrs before the flight departs (and not a minute earlier). There is only 1 person at the counter and there is not a lot of efficiencies and no section for Cloud Nine customers. Due to the argument between the check-in person and the previous client, waited around 1 hr in the queue to check-in, Lounge is one of the Louis CIP lounges.

Flight delayed by 3hrs due to the late arrival of the aircraft from Kuala Lumpur. Boarding was a free for all despite being in BKK. Once on the plane, you notice the fact that you have stepped back in time. Plenty of leg room, but the seat is the old “Late 80’s” First Class seats, big and room to stretch but nowhere near to a lay flat. There is no inseat entertainment. You get offered, water, orange juice and Champagne if you ask for it.

The service is ok with the cabin crew being pleasant but not overly helpful. The blanket is very good and heavy enough for the cold aircon on the plane. A small amenities kit is provided with socks, toothpaste, eyepatch and some hand cream. The cabin was dirty due to no cleaning after arriving from KL. The toilets are old and even with the spray are not so pleasant. On the cabin door, a sensor on the bottom right was stuck down with tape.

The food is ok and the selection of beverages are of reasonable quality with a “curry” and a non curry option. Breakfast was an omelette or a croissant.

Disembarkation was the same as boarding, a free for all and no organisation at all. once in the airport there are no trolleys and have to bribe a baggage handler to get one from behind the barriers. Business Class bags were the last off the plane (literally) with only a mumbled apology.

Despite the price differential I would definitely think twice about flying them again..
