Thanks Simon. That’s on my shopping list and I’ll let you know how it is. Won’t beat a good Cohiba though!

Yeah there are also all kinds of vaporizers and e liquids as well as seen here:

Then of course there’s over a 1,000 brands of regular e cigarettes, stuff like the following:

As this thread has been resurrected, how are you getting on Alexpo? Did you manage to quit or have you started with cigars?

I forgot to let you know about the electronic cigar Simon. I decided in the end I was not ever so desperate for a smoke that I had to buy one of them. For me it was the pleasure of a long flight, some cheese and a good glass of port while contemplatively smoking a good cigar on a long journey, not the need for a smoke.

    Thanks for the link anyway.

I have failed miserably LP and canucklad!

On a flight to New York this summer there was no reference made to e-cigs during the safety briefing, so I discreetly used mine throughout the flight. But mint chocolate flavour is not for me.

We have all heard of 100 % non-smoking hotels. Well, I can confirm there is a 100 % non-smoking block of private apartments in Manhattan. I don’t know if this is common in that part of the world, but I was gobsmacked. I had never heard of such a thing!

Long story…but neighbour was not pleased. ‘I’m not mad’ – you could have fooled me after you complained to reception!!

I think I will be wearing a patch to Jakarta next week!

Alexpo, I too am on the ecigs. I do not much like advertising on here, but google innokin. itaste. I use it on Iberia, it looks like a phone with an old type ariel on it…think the old Motorola of around 1999 vintage, never been challenged, looks like I am chewing the ariel and then I just exhale slowly and discreetly. The worse that can happen is they will ask you not to use it. Just start talking in to it!!!!

I flew with emirates this summer of 2014 and had no problem using my electronic cigarette. A stewardess actually asked where she could get one from…

So no problems there. I sent here her to http://www.realsmokefree.co.uk/free-electronic-cigarette

I’m pretty sure that the terms of use do not allow members to advertise on the forum
and Emirates do not allow the use of e-cigarettes onboad – http://www.emirates.com/english/help/faq/595213/can-i-use-e-cigarettes-on-board-an-emirates-flight

Most airlines dont allow electronic cigarettes.
Here is a good article on the TSA guidelines

It’s easy to enjoy an e-cigarette on an airplane. The real question is not if “airlines allow it” but WHY do the airlines think they should not allow it. Just another example of control over something that hurts nobody and is very comforting to certain travellers. The more we allow this kind of brainless behaviour, the more control will be asserted needlessly. “There’s no reason for it, it’s just our policy” is not a good way to be controlled.

Why? Is that a serious question?

All the time ecigarettes are linked to i) multiple fires and ii) health issues there isn’t a hope in hell that airlines will allow it, I’m pleased to say.

With the advent of E-Vapour TV advertising – one wonders if this is re-addressed by airlines.

They certainly shouldn’t be allowed. My brother is a big user and seems to think they are odorless. Sadly you can smell them a mile off and the thought of getting on a plane and seeing people using them horrifies me. I don’t know if smokers have a weaker sense of smell – or they become oblivious to it but I would not fly any airline that allowed E-Cigs.
