morning all

i am a BA gold card holder living near MAN, with EK having up to 3 flights per day from MAN i am starting to use them on a regular basis to avoid LHR
will EK match my status with BA if I shift my business to them ( at least 6 first flights per year

You just missed Etihad (EY) doing a status match. A better airline, better inflight service in all classes – although only 2 x daily from MAN

EY gives Silver after one return flight if you get their UK credit card. This is good for lounge access, although in AUH you have to use a secondary lounge, not Pearl.

Even better, the credit card is free and they throw in 5,000 miles as well.

To be honest, if the poster if flying First anyway then he doesn’t need status – it wont bring anything extra except higher Skywards earning rate.
