EE mobile ap (applying ‘add ons’ when travelling) – WARNING

    For those buying global roaming packages en route using the EE mobile app.

    I generally need to top up my roaming bundle and use the mobile app to add. When the confirmation comes through I take a screen shot of ‘purchase’.

    I have just queried my latest bill with EE, which is double the usual amount when I am travelling. Whilst I was able to prove via the screen shot that I had purchased additional bundles, clearly the bundle had not been added to my account. EE said that unless I receive a text confirmation I should not assume the purchase has gone through. They went on to suggest that I was probably better off to phone in at £1.50 per minute to buy the additional bundle as it’s better than relying on their mobile app!! Kind of defeats the purpose of having an app.

    To be fair to EE, they immediately arranged a fair and acceptable credit to my account as they could see there must have been a fault somewhere.
