Just thought I would post a handy article with information around late, cancelled and overboked flights etc for those who may find it useful.
I picked up the link from Simon Calder’s twitter feed.

I should add I have never made any claims when travelling to date. Apart from baggage damage which is another issue.
I did not realise that compensation was potentially due for a delay time of even 3 hours if its the airlines fault. Apart from meal vouchers i would be interested to hear if anybody has any experiences they wish to share!

Very interesting. Thanks for posting Peter. My eldest son and his brother were offered €700 each on a visa card, plus hotel, 2 dinners, 1 lunch and a breakfast each for catching the next night’s flight to JNB as they had overbooked.

    LP,
That seems reasonable with the 700.00 Euros cash – I think I would accept that if I had the time to spare. What cabin were they flying in and airline?
