I remember reading somewhere a couple of years of ago that Easy jet didn’t choose the a321 because it was too big and the turn around time would be longer. So why are they buying it now?

They may have options on the A321LR (a B757 replacement) and suitable for development of longer routes and even trans-atlantic. It could compete with NO and many airlines in the EU and further afield?

Good point. Why don’t Easy jet buy the A321neo lr? It gives them the flexibility to fly to America or other places and it still has greater capacity than the a320. Sounds like a win win if you ask me.
