“China Southern is counting down to the mid-year delivery of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with the possibility of flights to Europe and Australia before the year is out.”

Has China Southern announced its B787 configuration ?

I expect economy class will be 9-across 3-3-3. If I were booked in economy I wouldn’t particularly like to fly all the way between Australia and Europe in a B787.

I wouldn’t say that until you have tried it, as the 787 brings passenger comfort to a whole new level (better air quality, larger windows, etc..) compared to the conventional B777/A340.
To my opinion one would feel much more refreshed and relaxed carrying out your voyage on a 787, than any other current aircraft.
