Ripped from the Cockpit: BA Flight of Terror – channel 5 8pm
“Documentary exploring the remarkable story of a British Airways passenger jet that narrowly avoided disaster following an incident at 17,000 feet. When one of the cockpit windows blew out thanks to a technical error, the plane’s captain was sucked out into the freezing air. Luckily, the quick-thinking crew held onto the captain’s legs, while the co-pilot managed to land the craft safely at Southampton Airport.”

LuganoPirateParticipantThis one is constantly regurgitated between C5, Discovery and National Geographic Channels. Look out for 10 most Extreme Airports. That one is really hairy. Best one is St. Maarten I think.

BunnahabhainParticipantDon’t know but you can get a DVD of St Maarten + St Barts. There’s another thread about such airports, I’ve heard Skiathos in Greece is a good one too. I like the look of that one half way up Everest (Lukla or something) with the sloping runway!
What’s the other BAe aircraft they referred to with the windscreen bolts fixed from the outside? 146?
