Cathay Pacific is looking to place an order for Mid-Haul aircraft soon

    According to Ronald Lam, the airline’s CEO, Cathay Pacific is to launch a new medium-haul fleet renewal effort in December 2023, per a report by FlightGlobal.
    This for both fleet expansion and replacement of some of the older A330’s in the fleet.
    It seems likely that any Cathay Pacific order is likely to be for the Airbus A330neo, considering the benefits of cockpit commonality with the Cathays large Airbus and A330ceo aircraft family and its popularity in the region.
