continentalclubParticipantThere is indeed a transfer option, BAdboys, although most commentators would suggest that the ‘transfer miles’ scheme doesn’t represent enormously good value for the majority of members.
If Adriana83 has enough miles for a whole ticket, then she’d probably be better off using the miles for that ticket directly, even if it is issued in another’s name.
If the miles are valued by someone else as a ‘top-up’ however, then it may make more sense. Full details are here:
– though you will need to log in to your BAEC account to see the page.
There was a 25% bonus on transferred miles running recently, however this promotion ended on the 31st August.
The transfer miles scheme is an ongoing facility.
kmcottrell – there is no defined promotional calendar for miles puchases bonuses on BA. If a new promotion comes up then I’ll try and report it asap for you!

continentalclubParticipantBritish Airways have just launched a new 25% extra BA Miles promotion:
Purchases must be complete by 15 October 2010 and, unusually, they have also increased the purchase limit from 19,000 per annum to 24,000 per annum for the duration of this offer.
This means that a 24,000 BA Mile purchase will be augmented by a 6,000 bonus, bringing the total to 30,000 for the sum of £399.
Note that it usually takes one working day for purchased miles to post to Executive Club accounts.
