Though using 15 as the child’s cutoff seems strange as I’m supporting & parenting my son legally until the age of 18.

Child cut off age 15 is used in this survey because my research not emphasizing financial support as main factor but this age is used because children under 16 usually requires more care (cannot be left alone in the house, parents might be required to take time off work if they are sick)and it is impacting people work-life balance more. As most of 16 year olds in most cases are quite independent in every day activities.
