Yesterday Le Shuttle tweeted this alert.

And one traveller was turned away yesterday.

    Alex,

Rather amusingly the travellers twitter feed now reports that he jumped on the Eurostar and caught the train to Brussels without hindrance. They cant even implement a ban properly.
I suppose we should thank the French for protecting our travellers from the rampant infection risk in the Pas de Calais and France in general.

Thanks for the added info GeorgeJ.

During the pandemic Eurostar continued to operate (and to carry UK nationals) to Brussels via France. Its London-Amsterdam service (via France and Belgium) was suspended for a while but has now restarted.

Hence The Times noted the word “driving.”

Yesterday France reported 208,000 cases. How many will be reported today ?

Latest news is that Paris requires masks to be worn outdoors from tomorrow.

There seems to have been a reversal of this decision in the last few hours.

    Still confusing.

Napoleon Macron will soon realise France is suffering equally with Omicrom, at which time, he might do the decent thing and re open the border with the U.K.
